SO. This week!

Time is flying! It's the end of April. I've been slacking on my blog. But I have been over-achieving in reading, cleaning, cooking, mother-ing, friend-ing, and student-ing! So here is some new-ish news.

My mom and fam lives in Alabama. I get a call from her and the first thing she asks is "why haven't you called and checked up on me!" Immediately, of course, I get defensive and respond with, "dude, I just called you on Easter!" Then I felt slightly jerk-y when she let me know the great state of Alabama where skies are so blue hadn't been so blue that week. They were in a state of emergency... tornados came and visited and decided to visit the whole state and did some mean damage. They didn't have any power, no gas, had to stand in line at the grocery and hand employees their list of food they wanted, and they couldnt' drive at night. So it's been a rough week for the southern side of my family. Thankfully, I talked to my sisterbestfriend yesterday and she let me know all was well, they had power and things were getting back to normal. So thankful that none of my family was hurt. Everyone pray for everyone that wasn't so fortunate.

7-8 and Blue passed away this week {Landon's goldfish}. I feel like a terrible pet owner {being so my dog just got out of surgery for eating two pacifiers a few weeks ago and was on the brink of death before we took her in. Her luck was better than the fish's, because she came out alive.} I was told by a friend that I was over feeding them and goldfish should only be fed once a day and only a few flakes. I thought that was animal cruelty! What if I feed them in the morning.. they'll be hungry by dinner, right? Apparently, goldfish don't work like us humans. So I think my goldfish died from obesity related isses. I guess I should read about animals before I bring them into my home.

Going to try for a better week.
